Southern Management Corporation has a long and proud history of caring for its team members and customers. We continue our steadfast commitment to their ongoing safety and well-being, while providing for their essential needs to the highest extent possible. As we welcome guests back to our properties, we do so with the commitment for them to be able to rest well knowing our focus on providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment is absolute. We have designed this program based upon the latest guidance from federal, state and local authorities and health officials, and in concert with the American Hospitality and Lodging Association’s Safe Stay cleaning and safety standards.

A key component of our program is the continual evolution of our cleaning and sanitization practices based on changing guidance and best practices to ensure an unmatched experience for all of our guests and visitors. The program is built upon four pillars—Physical Distancing, Public Area Cleanliness, Guest Room Sanitization and Meeting and Event Modifications

Physical Distancing – Public areas at our properties have been modified to maximize the physical space and encourage physical distancing. In addition to layout changes, we have adjusted our operational practices to encourage responsible social distancing in all areas.

Public Area Cleanliness – Our market-leading cleaning programs have been enhanced and include significantly increased frequency of cleaning in all high-traffic and high-touch areas of our hotels. The placement of hand sanitizing stations, property-wide use of personal protective equipment and focus on team-member health protocols, further drives the focus in this area. Transaction spaces including the Front Desk and Gift Shop will be cleaned between each guest.

Guest Room Sanitization – All guest rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each guest stay. The use of Environmental Protection Agency approved products, enhanced tools and focus on key touch surfaces are the foundation of our program. All team members have been trained and will be continually updated on the best practices for sanitizing rooms. Once a guestroom has been inspected, no one will enter it until check-in, ensuring guest safety.

Meeting and Event Modifications – Our Catering and Conference Services team have developed physical distancing floor plans to safely execute programs. These changes are complemented by modified food and beverage offerings designed to limit exposure of items so attendees can safely enjoy meals and breaks during their programs. The property’s use of technological resources for planning, space layout and virtual site tours allows safe planning to continue and provides flexibility for planners.
