A mid-Atlantic summer is in full swing, and everyone is excited to shed their masks and have some fun. What better way to kick back and enjoy the warm weather than an outdoor concert?

From waterfront to city center, blues to 80’s cover bands, there are outdoor concerts in Maryland for everyone.

Here are ten options to get you started!

Arundel Preserve Concert Series

7795 Arundel Mills Boulevard, Hanover, MD

The Arundel Preserve Summer Concert Series is perfect for a laid-back evening with the family or an outdoor happy hour with friends. On top of a cash bar, food and dessert trucks will be on site serving up delicious fare to round out the event.

Concerts are free and will be held once a month.

Performers include Groovalicious, Patrick Alban & Noche Latina, The Regan Years, and Firekite. So, grab a blanket or lawn chair and join us for a summer of food, fun, and entertainment.

Feet on the Street

May 14, 2021- August 27, 2021
401 Bosley Avenue, Towson, MD

Feet on the Street, Towson’s Friday night block party, is a favorite among the free outdoor concerts in Maryland. It’s got something for all to enjoy and runs from mid-May through the end of August this summer.

Cover bands play in the Courthouse Plaza from 6:30 -9:30PM each week. Upbeat sets keep the crowd happy and energy levels high, while a cash bar keeps everyone dancing!

Bands include Crushing Day, Jon Maurer Trio, and That’s What She Said, among others.

Summer Sounds at the Square

May 28, 2021-September 24, 2021
529 E. Belvedere Avenue, Baltimore, MD

Held at 6:00 PM on the last Friday of every month from May-August, Summer Sounds at the Square is a smaller event with a family feel. Seating is provided in the courtyard and the concerts are streamed on Facebook Live for anyone who wants to enjoy from the comfort of home.

Come dance the night away with performances by Shine Delphi, Hot Club of Baltimore, and Ed Hrybyk Trio.

Jazzy Nights

May 8, 2021 – September 11, 2021
101 E. 25th Street, Baltimore, MD

Jazzy Nights in Charles Village offer good food and top-notch live music on the second Saturday of each month between May and August. Scott P & the Love from Above, On Kee Jazz Band, and Marc Evans Live are just a few of the stellar performers that can be enjoyed during this concert series.

Tickets are limited and cost $20, while a season pass can be purchased for $50.

Amped at the Park

June 16, 2021- July 28, 2021
6000 Merriweather Drive, Columbia, MD

This one’s a little different than most other free outdoor concerts in Maryland because it’s held at an actual concert venue, which means the acoustics are spot on and there’s plenty of space!

Enjoy food, drinks, outdoor games, and of course music at Merriweather Post Pavilion’s Amped at the Park. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets every other Wednesday in June and July to enjoy a mix of 80’s, Reggae, and Pop Rock.

As an added bonus, free swag and glow sticks are available at The Exchange pop-up tent. RSVP is required in advance, but admission is free!

Tides and Tunes

June 17, 2021 – August 19, 2021
723 Second Street, Annapolis, MD

With the Chesapeake Bay for a backdrop, this is where you need to be on Thursday nights in June, July, and August. From Rock & Soul, to 60’s disco, to Rockabilly, there’s a concert for everyone at Tides and Tunes.

Located at the Annapolis Maritime Museum, free performances begin at 7:00 PM.

All you have to do is bring your lawn chair and dancing shoes. Food and drinks are available for purchase, and beverage sales support the museum’s educational program.

Grab a blanket and head to the Bel Air Summer Concert Series featuring local musicians. You can bring a picnic or enjoy dinner at your favorite restaurant in Downtown Bel Air (MaGerk’s or Black-Eyed Suzie’s, anyone?) as you listen to the sounds of the Gayle Harrod Band, Annapolis Bluegrass, or the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters.

Music plays from 7:00-8:15 PM, at which time you can grab a drink and enjoy a warm summer’s evening in the charming town of Bel Air.

Glen Echo Park Summer Concert Series

July 1, 2021 – September 9, 2021
7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo, MD

Starting in July and running through September, The Glen Echo Park Summer Concert Series in Montgomery County hosts live music in the Bumper Car Pavilion (and streams it live on YouTube)!
